Our Mission (Core Focus):
Maaya Anubhuti Foundation (MAF) is a registered Section 8 nonprofit dedicated to providing dignified, meaningful support for elderly individuals in true need. Our key programs include:
  • Direct Aid: Delivering hot meals, distributing seasonal clothes (jackets, lowers), and providing weekly ration kits.
  • Community: Running the Sunday 100-Meal Program (free for elders above 60, nominal fee for others).
  • Mobility: Providing assistive aids like wheelchairs and prescription glasses to restore independence.

  • Financial Professionals: Support in finance, fundraising, and strategic operations.
  • Other Professionals: Offering on-the-ground support and guidance for field logistics and event management.
3. What specific projects will interns actually work on?
Project-based roles help you build a strong professional portfolio:
  • Direct Welfare & Logistics: Identifying and supporting needy elders, managing inventory for drives, and ensuring the dignified execution of the Sunday Meal Program (event logistics and on-site coordination).
  • Communications & Fundraising: Growing MAF’s social media channels, creating polished video guides for donations, developing compelling impact stories/reports, and engaging donors.
4. Is this a paid internship, and what is the typical schedule?
Compensation & Payment:
  • All internships with MAF are voluntary and unpaid, ensuring funds are maximized for essential welfare programs.
  • Interns may request a formal recommendation letter based on their performance.
Schedule & Flexibility:
  • Schedules adapt to your academic needs. Most remote roles (documentation, digital outreach) are part-time.
  • Field roles (meal distribution/drives) are scheduled on weekends, usually Sundays, and require in-person participation.
5. Who can apply, and are there future opportunities?
Eligibility:
  • Students or graduates in social work, psychology, public health, medicine, communications, finance, or management.
  • Any individual passionate about dignified elderly care and verified community service.
Future Growth:
  • Interns showing outstanding commitment receive personalized reference letters and priority consideration for future mentorship or paid staff positions as resources grow.
